Part-Time Finance Assistant

Rotheram Carrington Financial Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a well-established company in its recruitment of a part-time Finance Assistant job based in Ellesmere Port. This permanent position would involve working within a small, established, friendly finance team.

Job Description

1. Process supplier invoices/credit notes onto the system
2. Review post and scanning of invoices into the system
3. Preparation of supplier payments proposals, ensuring payments are made to correct payment terms
4. Review and reconcile debit balances and supplier statements, ensuring suppliers are chased if necessary
5. Assist in resolving customer and supplier queries
6. Reconciliations & allocation on direct debt accounts
7. Contact with suppliers by both phone and email to ensure effective management of queries, billing accuracy and escalation where necessary
8. Keep accurate records
9. Bank reconciliation across 2 accounts
10. Build strong relationships within the team, the office, the company, and external contacts
11. General administration duties
12. Other ad hoc duties including covering other departmental roles, tasks, and project work as required

Skills and Experience:

1. Accuracy and attention to detail is critical to this role
2. Organisational skills and ability to work to tight timescales
3. Excellent communication and customer service skills both verbal and written
4. Good team player who seeks to assist colleagues and has strong interpersonal skills
5. Confident, enthusiastic, and willingness to engage with our values
6. Flexibility to cover other department tasks or assist as required
7. Strong Excel skills and Sage 50 experience would be beneficial
