Part time Dental Hygienist/Therapist

Job Summary

An exciting part-time opportunity has arisen for an Experienced Dental Hygienist/Therapist at the Easter Road Dental Practice to cover maternity leave.

The role is 1 to 2 days per week with some flexibility across Monday to Friday, days to be discussed.

We provide a wide range of general, preventative, and restorative dental care services to patients of all ages and with this in mind, we seek an experienced, caring, and enthusiastic Dental Hygienist with a minimum of 1 year’s experience in the role.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist/Therapist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. You will work closely with the dental team to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care in a comfortable environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
• Perform scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral hygiene.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Assist in the documentation of patient records accurately and maintain confidentiality.
• Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Requirements

• Valid Dental Hygienist licence.
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy related to oral health.
• Experience with medical imaging techniques is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach towards patient care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential for maintaining patient records and managing appointments.
• Hygienist/Therapist qualification only.

Job Types: Part-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 9-10 months

Pay: £35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.5 – 17 per week
