Part time Cook - Grantham (outskirts)

Salary: £12.40ph - £12.95ph

Hours: Friday, Sunday, and Monday 9am - 5pm

Type: Temporary to Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

We are recruiting for an experienced part time cook to join our client's busy catering team. They produce food from fresh ingredients and good honest cooking, seating approx. 100 + people.

Working with their kitchen team, the successful individual will be responsible for individual orders at large volume that includes general food prep, cooking, and cleaning down.

Duties for Part time Cook include:

1. Prepare, cook, and present food quickly and efficiently to a high standard.
2. Work safely around the kitchen equipment.
3. Maintain accurate food records.
4. Assist in keeping the kitchen clean, hygienic, and tidy at all times.
5. Monitor portion size and waste.

Skills needed for part time cook:

1. Experience of working in a busy fast paced kitchen.
2. Excellent communication skills and able to work as part of a team.
3. Able to work to existing menu.
4. Experience of commercial catering equipment.
5. Professionalism and reliability.
6. Remains calm under pressure.
7. Good time management.

This role is based just on the outskirts of Grantham, accessible by bus from Grantham or own transport from outside the area.

The role would suit anyone from a commercial kitchen as a cook, chef de partie, sous chef, or café cook.
