Location: Derby
Hourly rate: £12.21
Working hours: 8am till 3pm
Shifts: between Monday - Friday
Contract type: Temporary
Start date: ASAP

We are currently looking for hard-working, enthusiastic people to join our client's team to work in a busy warehouse kitchen environment. This is a great opportunity that offers ongoing weekend work. We are looking for individuals with previous experience in a catering environment. As a Catering Assistant, this role can be a great stepping stone into other roles within the hospitality and catering industry or other areas of work.

Catering Assistant duties:

1. Assisting those in the kitchen
2. Washing pots/pans/utensils
3. General food prep
4. Serving food at the counter in a canteen environment
5. Working front of house
6. Following all health and safety procedures
7. Keeping surfaces clean and tidy
8. Clearing tables
9. Operating tills

As a Catering Assistant, you will have the following skills:

1. Able to work within a fast-paced environment
2. Great customer service skills
3. Punctual
4. Excellent communication skills
5. Able to multi-task
6. Can work well within a team and independently
7. Can follow direct orders
8. Polite and friendly
9. Able to build good relationships

Travelling: The right candidate needs to have their own transport. However, public transport is available - please ensure you check if that's somewhere you can get for the start/finish times prior to applying.

Main requirements:

1. Food & Hygiene level 1 (we can process one for you for free)
2. Own transport
3. Previous catering experience
4. Knowledge of health and safety within a kitchen environment
