Part-Time Barista

We are a new artisan coffee house in Notting Hill.

We are seeking an experienced part-time barista with a genuine passion for coffee to join our team on a full-time basis, working on Saturdays, Sundays and some bank holiday weekends. Your shifts will be between 6 and 8 hours. The start date for this position will be immediate subject to your notice period.

Responsibilities:

1. Have at least 1 year’s recent experience as a barista at a specialist artisan coffee shop or one of the major London coffee chains. References may be requested.
2. Be exceptionally friendly, have excellent communication skills, enjoy serving customers and generally have a passion for working with people. It is essential that you are able to maintain our standard of serving coffee to our customers in an engaging and friendly manner and build a relationship with our regular customers.
3. Pay attention to detail.
4. Be available to work on weekends and bank holidays.
5. Ideally live in, or not too far away from, Notting Hill.
6. Share our passion for a hygienic, tidy and friendly work environment.
7. Enjoy working in a small but fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task (preparing coffees, taking payment, managing stock, accepting deliveries etc).
8. Have excellent English language skills.
9. Have the legal right to work full-time in the UK.

In return we will provide you with a friendly work environment where there will be room to grow and gain new skills. We will provide an hourly rate of between £14 to £16 per hour, depending on your experience. You will also receive a 6 months service and 12 months service bonus in your first year. A performance linked annual bonus will be put into place after 1 year of service.
