About the Role
Global CTS are proud to be working with a high value manufacturing client based in Abingdon who are seeking an Accounts Administration Assistant to join their small team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants a vital role in supporting the Accounts function with a wide variety of financial tasks. This is a role that offers training; you may have some basic accounting knowledge with a basic AAT qualification as full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining debtor balances and producing monthly statements to customers
- Chasing outstanding invoices and resolving issues via emails and phone calls
- Providing aged debtor reports to the MD on a weekly basis
- Raising credit notes, sales invoices, and forwarding to customers
- Adding new customers (including credit agency checks) and suppliers on SAPB1
- Maintaining creditor balances and matching purchase invoices to purchase orders
- Producing supplier payment runs on a monthly and as-required basis
- Performing daily bank account reconciliations (two GBP accounts, one EUR account)
- Conducting month-end Euro bank account revaluation and updating cash flow reports
- Assisting with month-end processes, including reconciliations and producing nominal journals
- Managing petty cash, processing interest on loans, and reconciling staff expenses
- Checking and reconciling company credit cards monthly
- Updating exchange rates on SAP from HMRC monthly
- Maintaining the shared accounts email inbox, ensuring all emails are attended to and filed
- Filing, archiving, and supporting with audit queries and annual stock takes
Key Skills and Experience:
- SAP B1 knowledge is an advantage but not essential
- Solid understanding of accounts processes with accurate interpretation and input of data
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with strong attention to detail
- Highly efficient, proactive, and professional with a polite manner
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good IT skills, particularly in Excel and Word
- Ability to handle difficult customers professionally and prioritise workload effectively
