Part-Qualified Accountant

Position: Part-Qualified Accountant (or Bookkeeper)
Contract Length: 3 months
Start Date: Immediate
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)

Are you a detail-oriented, hands-on accounting professional looking for a short-term opportunity? We are seeking a part-qualified accountant or experienced bookkeeper to support our team on a 3-month contract. This role is perfect for someone with strong Excel skills and a proactive mindset who is ready to contribute to both accounting and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transaction Processing in Xero (preferred but not essential):
    • Raise invoices and bills
    • Upload bank statements
    • Reconcile cash transactions
  • Excel Reporting and Reconciliation:
    • Prepare weekly and monthly reports, including credit card usage and property reports
    • Produce other ad hoc reports as required
  • Digitisation Project:
    • Complete the organisation’s ongoing digitisation of invoices and documents
  • Administrative Support:
    • Maintain hardcopy property files
    • Assist with general office tasks as needed
  • General Accounting Tasks:
    • Support with bookkeeping and day-to-day accounting functions
Key Requirements:
  • Part-qualified accountant or experienced bookkeeper with a hands-on approach
  • Strong Excel skills (essential for reporting and reconciliation tasks)
  • Xero experience (preferred but not required; training can be provided)
  • Highly organised with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage both accounting and administrative tasks effectively
