Part II Architectural Assistant Job in Central London

A growing practice in Central London now has a Part II Architectural Assistant job available! With several long-term conservation projects underway, they are looking to add Experienced Part II Architectural Assistants to the team. With their projects being featured in several industry and lifestyle publications regularly, the practice's portfolio of projects ranges from beautiful historic buildings and private homes to commercial properties and interiors in the UK and internationally.

Due to office expansion and a growing portfolio in the high-end London market, they now require Part II Architectural Assistants with strong experience from stage 4 through to completion to join them on a full-time, permanent basis.

Role & Responsibilities

  • To work on bespoke, high-end conservation and heritage projects throughout London and the UK
  • Projects are varied and these will include historical buildings, London estates, large country estates, grade-listed buildings, and more
  • Working across all RIBA stages with an initial focus on stage 4 through to completion
  • Speaking with and dealing with clients, including site visits and surveys
  • Carry out project research
  • Report to the Project Architects on project progress
  • Produce detailed hand drawings
  • Produce high-quality design and technical drawings, with detailed joinery fittings in a traditional style.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in bespoke detailing on traditional, high end or classical projects
  • Must be Part II qualified and have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience PQE
  • Must have relevant UK project experience
  • Passion for classical and traditional architecture
  • Strong flair for design and strong technical knowledge and skills
  • Experience in the preservation and refurbishment of historic buildings
  • Experience using ArchiCAD would be beneficial but not essential, full training will be provided.
