AIM Design are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Part 2 Architectural Assistant with a minimum of 2 years practice experience or a recently qualified architect to join our Dundee practice.

We are a design-led award-winning practice renowned for innovative exhibition and interior design based at Dundee City Quay’s waterfront. We currently have a broad range of work from bespoke high-end private domestic work to public and private commercial work including exhibitions, visitor attractions, retail and offices with an expanding workload of exciting projects at all RIBA Stages. We are looking for an ambitious individual who can provide support and eventually lead on projects and assist in shaping and developing the practice.

Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 2-3 years experience working in practice.
  2. Excellent working knowledge of Scottish Planning and Building Regulations.
  3. Experience and a thorough understanding of general architectural practice systems, design and construction methods and of all project stages.
  4. On-site experience with the ability to deal with contractual issues is desirable.
  5. Strong design skills and technical knowledge with excellent detailing ability is essential.
  6. Proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop and Revit; 3D modelling skills essential.
  7. BIM Level 1 minimum experience, Level 2 preferred.
  8. Fluent in spoken and written English.
