NJR Recruitment are working with a firm of Financial Planning Advisers who are looking for a Paraplanner to join their team. The Paraplanner will undertake paraplanning duties as part of the regional team. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate to join a fantastic firm.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of clients' financial situations, including their income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and financial goals. This analysis may involve using financial planning software and tools to create detailed financial plans.
- Report Preparation: Prepare comprehensive financial planning reports, including investments analysis, retirement planning, risk management, tax planning, and estate planning. These reports should be tailored to meet the specific needs and objectives of each client.
- Client Communication: Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information, clarify their financial goals and objectives, and explain the details of their financial plans.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the financial services industry, ensuring all financial plans and recommendations adhere to regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Research and Due Diligence: Conduct research on various financial reports, investment options, and strategies to support the development of sound financial plans. This may involve evaluating investment opportunities, analyzing market trends, and assessing the performance of different asset classes.
- Recommendation Support: Assist financial planners in developing suitable investment recommendations and strategies based on clients' risk tolerance, time horizon, and financial objectives. This may include asset allocation modeling, investment selection, and portfolio construction.
- Complex Report Writing: Undertake complex report writing.
- Client Meetings: Often serve as a point of contact for clients and may participate in client meetings alongside financial planners.
- Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to paraplanners or other team members, sharing knowledge and best practices related to financial planning processes, software tools, and industry trends.
Skills and Experience:- Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Fully qualified Paraplanner.
- Knowledge of iO, Excel, and other research, analysis, and data management tools.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- A team player.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to coach, manage, and mentor a team and ensure accurate work with tight deadlines.
- Broad knowledge of the financial services sector.
- Ability to roll out new processes to the team.
