Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Paramedic to join our Primary Care team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B prison located near Bicester. HMP Bullingdon is a male prison with an operational capacity of around 1,100.

This would suit a qualified Paramedic, as you will be responding to emergency and urgent care situations.

Hours: 37.5 hours a week. The site currently offers a variety of shift patterns, including 07:30 - 17:30, 07:30 - 19:30, night shifts, and weekends / bank holidays.

Salary: This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary of up to £47,250 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As our Paramedic, your responsibilities will vary. You will:

  • Provide outstanding evidence-based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them - focusing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary care and acute care needs.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
  • Play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patients' care following our policies and procedures, always considering safeguarding.
  • Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, partners, and stakeholders, providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within, and feel proud of.
  • Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence-based care, and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of reflection and shared learning.
