We have an exciting opportunity for a Paramedic to join our Primary Care team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B prison located near Bicester. HMP Bullingdon is a male prison with an operational capacity of around 1,100. This role would suit a qualified Paramedic, as you will be responding to emergency and urgent care situations.

Hours: 37.5 hours a week. The site currently offers a variety of shift patterns, including 07:30 - 17:30, 07:30 - 19:30, night shifts, and weekends / bank holidays.

Salary: This position is full time, and you'll receive an annual salary up to £47,250 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

As our Paramedic, your responsibilities will vary. You will:

  • Provide outstanding evidence-based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback so that care is personalized and informed by what matters to them, focusing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary care and acute care needs.
  • Deliver non-judgmental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
  • Play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient's care following our policies and procedures, always considering safeguarding.
  • Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, our partners, and stakeholders, providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within, and feel proud of.
  • Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence-based care, and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of reflection and shared learning.
