Paralegal Private Client

Sevenoaks

Full time & permanent role

£28,000 - £30,000 + benefits

Please note, this role isn't suitable for candidates that are wanting to complete the SQE.

A reputable law firm in Sevenoaks and well ranked in the legal directories are looking for a Paralegal to join their Private Client team, who are one of the largest Private Client Advisory teams in the East of England.

Responsibilities
  • Drafting & amending documents such as Wills, Powers of Attorney, Trust Deeds, and Probate applications.
  • Working with the fee earners to ensure that all matters are progressing, clients are kept updated, and relevant documentation is produced to meet expected deadlines.
  • Undertaking some fee earning responsibilities under supervision.
  • Managing diaries for allocated fee earners, including making appointments, arranging meetings/conferences, and sending/responding to invites.
  • Processing expense claims, payment requisitions, and returned advances.
  • Dealing with new client forms, new matter forms, and money laundering documents.
  • Ensuring electronic and paper-based filing is kept up to date.
  • Preparing narratives and bills and keeping billing files up to date.
  • Other general administrative tasks as required.
The Candidate
  • Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in a private client team is required.
  • You will be proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel, and have experience using legal software.
  • Previous experience with Isokon will be beneficial.
  • Accurate typing skills with a speed of at least 50WPM.
  • You must possess a high level of organisational skills with excellent attention to detail, good initiative, and the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • You will be positive and professional, work well under pressure, and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Remain calm under pressure to meet deadlines.
