An established industry player is on the lookout for a passionate Paralegal to join their dynamic Institutional Legal team. This role offers the unique opportunity to engage with digital assets in a fast-paced regulatory environment, supporting various Coinbase services. You will work collaboratively with product managers and cross-department colleagues, driving efficiencies in complex processes and helping to navigate the evolving landscape of crypto regulations. If you thrive in a high-pressure environment and are eager to make a significant impact, this position is perfect for you.
Ready to be pushed beyond what you think you’re capable of?
At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. It’s a massive, ambitious opportunity that demands the best of us, every day, as we build the emerging onchain platform — and with it, the future global financial system.
To achieve our mission, we’re seeking a very specific candidate. We want someone who is passionate about our mission and who believes in the power of crypto and blockchain technology to update the financial system. We want someone who is eager to leave their mark on the world, who relishes the pressure and privilege of working with high caliber colleagues, and who actively seeks feedback to keep leveling up. We want someone who will run towards, not away from, solving the company’s hardest problems.
Our work culture is intense and isn’t for everyone. But if you want to build the future alongside others who excel in their disciplines and expect the same from you, there’s no better place to be.
We are looking for a Paralegal who has the ability to independently manage and execute on legal projects on our Institutional Legal team. You’ll work on our legal team focused on supporting digital assets across multiple Coinbase services (custody, trading, etc.), in various jurisdictions, with a primary focus ex-US. You’ll help manage a rigorous workflow that involves a review of assets.
You’ll develop expertise in individual crypto tokens and broad classes of assets in a fast-evolving operational and regulatory environment. This is a highly visible role throughout the company, which will require you to build strong relationships with your teammates and business partners. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, UI/UX, and cross-department colleagues including Business Development, International Legal, Compliance and Risk Management and engage with outside legal counsel and third party vendors.
