Job description

Stafforce are currently looking for a Paralegal to join a growing team in Leeds. Within this role, you will be assisting solicitors and fee earners with a wide range of commercial property matters from file opening to completion.


What to Expect:
  1. Assisting with matters at all stages, from taking the client's initial instructions through to archiving, under supervision and in accordance with office and accounts procedures.
  2. Liaising with clients and other parties on behalf of fee earners and deal with enquiries as appropriate.
  3. Providing administrative support to other fee earners, solicitors, and partners.
  4. Obtaining and preparing file documentation.
  5. Handling billing files and obtain monies due to the firm from clients and other parties.
  6. Liaising with the Accounts department to produce cheques, pay disbursements, etc.
  7. Performing general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, and collating documents.
  8. Maintaining legal knowledge and skills.

What We Need From You:
  1. A minimum of 6 months' experience in either commercial property or residential property (commercial property preferred).
  2. Excellent client care skills.
  3. The ability to organise and prioritise work, under supervision, to meet clients' expectations and matter deadlines.
  4. The ability to work under pressure.
  5. The ability to present and argue a case orally and in writing.
  6. The ability to work on your own initiative and as a member of a team.
  7. The ability to deal with enquiries in a customer-friendly and effective manner.
