Job description

Resourcing Advisor @ Warner Hotels | AAT

The Paralegal is responsible for overseeing outsourced personal injury claims, handling small claims litigation, supporting data protection requests, specifically subject access requests, and providing general Legal and administrative support to the Head of Legal.

What will you be doing?

This is a varied role with lots of opportunity for developing legal skills in different practice areas such as:

  1. Monitor and evaluate the handling of outsourced personal injury claims in line with KPIs
  2. Make informed decisions on claims progression, settlements, or disputes in consultation with the Head of Legal and external counsel
  3. Act as the primary contact between hotel management teams and the legal advisors or insurers for any issues or claims arising
  4. Handle requests for subject data access requests under data protection laws, ensuring timely and compliant responses
  5. Work closely with the data protection officer / head of legal and IT department to retrieve, review, and redact personal data as necessary
  6. Directly manage litigation processes for low-value, time-consuming claims, aiming to resolve them efficiently and cost-effectively
  7. Prepare legal documentation, liaise with stakeholders, and represent the company in legal proceedings if required
  8. Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks, including managing correspondence, maintaining legal department records, and keeping compliance policies up to date
  9. Support the Head of Legal with research, document preparation, and other tasks as needed to ensure the efficient operation of the legal department
What are we looking for?
  • Completed or studying for Legal Practice Course, SQE or equivalent
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with legal documentation and litigation processes
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Knowledge of legal and insurance frameworks
  • Experience in handling data protection and privacy issues
  • Knowledge of or experience in property, litigation and employment law matters is preferred though not essential
