We are currently recruiting for a Paralegal to join our Commercial Property team in our Banbury office.

This exciting position at our growing and ambitious law firm in the heart of England will be reporting directly to, receiving training and working closely with our Commercial Property Fee Earners to deliver a full service to our clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation, drafting, and review of commercial property agreements including leases, licenses, sales and purchases, and development agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant property law information.
  • Assist in the due diligence process, including reviewing title documents, leases, planning permissions, and property-related contracts.
  • Coordinate with clients, external solicitors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of commercial property transactions.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, including forms, notices, and declarations.
  • Manage case files, ensuring they are updated and organized, and monitor key dates, including deadlines for exchanges, completions, and renewals.
  • Attend meetings and assist solicitors with client discussions, providing support in the preparation of reports and other documentation.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and market trends to provide informed support and guidance.
  • Provide general administrative support, including managing diaries, scheduling meetings, and preparing presentations or reports.
  • Handle client and third-party correspondence and queries efficiently and professionally.
  • Assist with post-completion tasks such as registration with the Land Registry and ensuring all necessary documentation is filed appropriately.

Person Specification

  • Experience working as a Paralegal in commercial property or a related legal field is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of property law and related legal concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and third parties.
