Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our client. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail and a passion for transforming spaces through colour and design. This role involves working on various projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and customer satisfaction. The Painter & Decorator will be responsible for both interior and exterior painting tasks, as well as decorative work that enhances the aesthetic appeal of properties.

Duties

1. Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling in holes or imperfections.
2. Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
3. Select appropriate materials and techniques based on the project requirements.
4. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
5. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard within agreed timelines.
6. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, reporting any issues as necessary.
7. Drive to various job sites as required, ensuring punctuality and professionalism at all times.

Skills

1. Proficiency in English to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
2. Strong painting skills with an eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
3. Ability to drive to different locations safely and efficiently.
4. Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients regarding their vision and expectations.
5. Knowledge of various painting techniques and materials is advantageous.
