PAINT TECHNICIAN OPPORTUNITY.

Join the prestigious Stephen James BMW & MINI Group as a Paint Technician and work at our new state of the art Bodyshop in Woolwich. This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to our exceptional team and advance your career with a leading company in automotive retail and aftermarket services.

YOUR ROLE.

As a Paint Technician at Stephen James, you will play a crucial role in our Bodyshop, ensuring that each vehicle’s paintwork meets the high-quality standards associated with our BMW and MINI franchises. You will be responsible for preparing, spraying, and finishing vehicles in an efficient manner, contributing significantly to the visual appeal and overall value of the vehicles we service.

Main Duties Include:

  • Preparing vehicles to be painted after body repair work has been completed
  • Matching and mixing paint to ensure a perfect match
  • Applying primer and finishing coats according to manufacturer's specifications, and ensuring the selection of correct colours
  • Inspecting vehicles for quality control following the completion of paintwork
  • Maintaining the paint mixing area and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality
  • Following all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment

YOUR PROFILE.

  • Demonstrable experience as a Paint Technician with a solid track record of high-quality work
  • In-depth knowledge of painting techniques and colour matching
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
  • To have an ATA or NVQ Paint Technician qualification or equivalent.

SALARY AND HOURS.

Competitive salary (with a guarantee) and an OTE of up to £70,000 per annum.

Working hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
