The Paint Sprayer is responsible for conducting painting activities on Merlin aircraft and associated components. The Paint Sprayer will support the Supervisor and Leonardo management in providing paint finish activities to meet operational deliveries and specifications across the Integrated Merlin Operational Support platform at RNAS Culdrose.

Main Accountabilities:

• To follow Customer Regulations and Procedures in carrying out authorised tasks in providing paint finish activities to meet contractual delivery at RNAS Culdrose
• All authorised tasks are carried out in accordance with current Customer and MOD Policy and Regulations and other applicable statutory Regulations.

What you'll need to do the role:

• Hold a BTEC Level 2 or equivalent in paint application/spraying or equivalent
• Hold appropriate professional qualifications and/or relevant experience as a painter sprayer.
• Have a thorough and good working knowledge of the following:
  • Health and Safety, the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations, Tool Control and Quality Practices
  • Understanding of Hazards associated with the application/removal of aircraft paint finishes as well as associated PPE
  • Ability to hold security clearance to MOD SC level.
• An excellent capability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining operational outputs.
