Role Summary: We are seeking a dynamic Packaging Development Manager to lead the development of compliant, efficient, and sustainable packaging solutions for our diverse customer base. This role is pivotal in driving innovation and ensuring our packaging meets the highest standards of quality and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and implement the Group and ISS packaging strategy, anticipating customer and consumer trends.
• Align packaging priorities with UK legislation, waste management infrastructure, and business requirements.
• Build and manage strategic relationships with packaging suppliers and waste management handlers.
• Lead the packaging development process from customer brief to production trial and launch.
• Collaborate with retailer packaging teams to support and accelerate innovation.
• Manage the packaging supplier and material specification approval processes.
• Track and report on the impact of packaging development on production, cost, recyclability, and carbon emissions.
• Identify and implement packaging improvements to drive cost and environmental efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years in food packaging development.
• Proven experience in bringing packaging innovation to market.
• Recent experience working with major food retailers.
• Strong report writing skills and competency in MS Office.
