Overview

Dunbia are one of Europe’s leading food processing companies. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Packaging Buyer is responsible for managing stocks, preparing, and placing orders for materials.

Responsibilities

The Packaging Buyer is responsible for maintaining the seamless flow of materials to support the company’s commitment to delivering exceptional products while maintaining cost effectiveness and sustainability.

Specific Daily / Weekly Duties

  • Co-ordinating daily / weekly stock levels through daily compilation of buying sheets.
  • Maintaining weekly packaging forecast and liaising with suppliers.
  • Preparing daily purchase orders on Movex and updating on receipt of delivery notes.
  • Approving invoices.
  • Tracking orders to ensure that the deliveries received are correct and liaising with suppliers on any issues, raising disputes where necessary.
  • Liaising with external warehouse / transport companies.
  • Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications, raising disputes where necessary.
  • Liaising with the Production, Purchasing, NPD, Finance, Technical, and Operations teams to ensure a smooth running of the business.
Qualifications

Key Skills

  • Highly organised.
  • Analytical.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office – Excel, Word.

Preferable Skills

  • Background and previous work experience in Buying is essential.
