Job Advertisement: Personal Assistant to Headteacher

Location: Croydon

Contract: Temporary

Hours: 8am-4:15pm

Salary: £18-£24 per hour dependent on experience


Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Personal Assistant (PA) to support the Headteacher at our school in Croydon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a similar role, possess excellent knowledge of Management Information Systems (MIS), and hold an enhanced DBS check.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support for the Headteacher, including managing schedules, correspondence, and communications.
  • Organise and coordinate meetings, appointments, and events, ensuring all necessary materials are prepared in advance.
  • Maintain and update the Headteacher's calendar, prioritising and rescheduling as necessary.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents as required.
  • Liaise with staff, parents, and external stakeholders on behalf of the Headteacher.
  • Assist with the management of school projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure the efficient operation of the Headteacher's office, including maintaining office supplies and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a PA or in a similar administrative role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Management Information Systems (MIS).
  • Enhanced DBS check is mandatory.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
