Overhead Lines Instructor - Distribution (Full training provided)

Location: Manchester

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + Pension + Health care scheme + 33 days holiday

They have recently invested significantly in their facilities and equipment, including lifeboat simulators, mock power stations, wind turbine parks, and oil and gas exploration simulators. Their ambition is to be the leading training provider for the energy and engineering industry by investing heavily in new technology and innovation.

Main Duties:

1. Carry out training on electricity distribution and transmission systems.
2. Assess learners' competency in work activities against a national qualification standard.
3. Design and deliver high-quality training packages to the electricity industry.
4. Facilitate construction and utility-based occupational qualifications.
5. Support the delivery of technical certificates in power engineering.
6. Deliver compliance training related to distribution work activities.

Ideal Candidate:

1. Background as a linesman or linesperson.
2. Experience working on wooden poles/distribution and a desire to move into a training role.
3. Live within a commutable distance to Trafford.
4. Hold or have previously held authorisation for overhead lines.
5. Working knowledge of the electricity distribution system.
6. A minimum of 10 years' experience in the electricity distribution or commercial sector.
7. Transmission overhead lines competency.
