We are currently looking for a skilled and motivated Overhead Crane Service Engineer to join our team in the UK. As an Overhead Crane Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead crane systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, along with a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Installation and Commissioning: Lead or assist in the installation and commissioning of overhead crane systems at customer sites. Ensure proper setup, alignment, and testing of crane components.
Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure the ongoing reliability and efficiency of overhead crane systems. Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify and address potential issues proactively.
Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to service calls for emergency repairs and troubleshoot issues efficiently. Coordinate with clients to minimize downtime and disruption to operations.
Upgrades and Modifications: Evaluate existing crane systems and recommend upgrades or modifications to enhance performance and safety. Implement modifications and upgrades as per customer requirements and industry standards.
Customer Support: Provide technical support to customers regarding crane operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through excellent communication and service.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of service activities, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and upgrades. Prepare detailed service reports for clients and internal documentation.
Adherence to Safety Standards: Ensure all service activities comply with health and safety regulations. Conduct safety assessments and provide guidance to clients on safe crane operation practices.
Qualifications:
Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead crane systems.
Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and customer service abilities.
Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
