Job Description

A great opportunity has arisen for a material handler to join a leading manufacturing company who supply to the worldwide energy market.

Job Description:

1. Loading and unloading of various types of products utilizing the overhead crane.
2. Transporting and processing various materials across two sites using FLT and company van.
3. Using general workshop machinery and hand tools related to the role.
4. Quality inspection of colleague's output.
5. Maximize the uptime of operations by delivering materials in a timely manner.
6. Performance of area housekeeping activities, including the prompt reporting of problems, shortages, or equipment breakdown.
7. Opening of crates/unloading containers/removing wood and nails.

Beneficial Skills / Experience:

1. Hands-on experience working within a manufacturing environment is essential.
2. Counterbalance FLT essential to 7 tonnes.
3. Full driving license.
4. Overhead crane/lifting slinging experience.
5. Experience working within a mechanical/electrical engineering environment is desirable.
6. The ability to understand mechanical and schematic drawings is desirable.
7. Role suitable for those who thrive in an active, physical task environment.
8. Good written and verbal communication skills.
9. Experience working collaboratively with other operations personnel.
10. Ideally experience working within a continuous improvement environment.
11. 'Can do' attitude with the ability to work unsupervised using own initiative.
12. Flexible approach with hours and a willingness to work across other areas of the business.
13. Good attention to detail.

Additional Details:

1. Salary negotiable.
