Overhead Crane Operator

A Material Handler / Overhead Crane Operator is required for an established steel processing company based in the Burntwood area of the West Midlands, working a permanent afternoon shift.

You will be banding up steel coils working on the back end of a slitting line and they will train you up to be an overhead crane operator to move steel around the workplace also, feeding the machine lines and loading/unloading vehicles for dispatch.

Duties of this Overhead Crane Operator role include:

• Working on the back end of a slitting line
• Banding up processed steel
• Using manual and air banders
• Operating overhead cranes to handle steel
• Any other duties as and when required

You will be working a permanent afternoon shift pattern:

• 1:00pm - 10:00pm (Monday - Thursday), 36 hours per week

This Material Handler / Overhead Crane Operator role will be working on a temp-to-perm basis with long term opportunities available.

The role is paying £14.00 per hour on the afternoon shift, with weekly pay whilst on the agency.
