Overhead Crane Operator

A Material Handler / Overhead Crane Operator is required for an established steel processing company based in the Burntwood area of the West Midlands, working a permanent afternoon shift.

You will be banding up steel coils working on the back end of a slitting line, and they will train you to be an overhead crane operator to move steel around the workplace, also feeding the machine lines and loading/unloading vehicles for dispatch.

Duties of this Overhead Crane Operator role include:

1. Working on the back end of a slitting line
2. Banding up processed steel
3. Using manual and air banders
4. Operating overhead cranes to handle steel
5. Any other duties as and when required

You will be working a permanent afternoon shift pattern:

1:00pm - 10:00pm (Monday - Thursday), 36 hours per week

This Material Handler / Overhead Crane Operator role will be working on a temp-to-perm basis with long-term opportunities available.

The role is paying £14.00 per hour on the afternoon shift, with weekly pay whilst on the agency.
