Overhead Crane/Forklift Truck Operator

We are recruiting on behalf of a busy engineering-based company based in Telford for an FLT/Overhead crane operative to work in a busy manufacturing environment.

Job Role

1. Working in an engineering environment.
2. To check goods in against delivery notes for accuracy and faults/damages.
3. Loading and unloading of vehicles.
4. Assisting with the movement of sheet metal around the factory.
5. Storing items in relevant sections.
6. Packing & assembly goods in boxes.
7. Maintaining a clean working environment in yard and shop floor.
8. Ensure all stock movement is recorded correctly.
9. Forklift truck counterbalance driving.

Experience/Requirements

1. Previous working experience in an engineering/sheet metal environment is essential.
2. FLT Counterbalance licence is essential.
3. Overhead crane licence is essential.
4. Goods in/out experience.
5. Good communication skills liaising with other departments.
6. Ability to use own initiative and prioritise workload.
7. Attention to detail.
8. Comfortable with manual handling.

The Package

1. 12 week temporary to permanent contract.
2. £13.00 - £13.50 depending on experience.
3. On-site parking.
