Outreach & Education Specialist Part time

Through the talents of an experienced and diverse workforce, OCES supports the independence and dignity of older adults and individuals with disabilities by providing essential information and services that promote healthy, safe living which positively impacts our community.

We are seeking an Outreach & Education Specialist to assist in the ongoing planning and assessment of educational and social activities specific to older adults and individuals with disabilities. This position will coordinate and lead events in person and virtual. If reaching out to help others is what you enjoy, this position is for you!

This is a part time position, 3 days per week Tuesday-Thursday, 21-24 hours.

What you will do:

• Promote education and socialization for professionals and members of the community.
• Collaborate with Councils on Aging and other service agencies.
• Plan and deliver materials about OCES services (including newsletters, news releases, speaking engagements, etc.) and implement outreach plans.
• Training staff members and program volunteers.
• Participate in developing outreach plans, goals, and tools for evaluating outcomes.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree in education, human services or related.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Ability to respect confidentiality.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Certifications in evidence-based training programs or related activities preferred.
• At least one year of experience in community or elder service programs.
