We are seeking a proactive, compassionate, and forward-thinking individual to join our expansive Outpatients Department, in the role of Team leader.
Applicants will have a strong background within administration, with relevant knowledge of healthcare/NHS, undergraduate and/or postgraduate education. You will need to be extremely customer-focused, confident, organised, and an enthusiastic team player.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate lateral thinking, have an eye for detail, and an ability to successfully prioritise ever-changing and evolving tasks within the department, in addition to managing and thriving in a fast-paced patient-facing environment.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be expected to manage the day-to-day running of the Outpatient Department under the supervision of the Service Manager. Duties will include the safe and effective management of the clinic rooms within the department, line managing the established administration team, appraisal process, and leading on sickness management.
This position will also require the successful candidate to support patients within the department to navigate their journey through their Outpatient experience.
The role will additionally involve liaising and networking with multiple specialties within the hospital, initiating and scrutinising data, and providing support to the wider team with troubleshooting and problem-solving.

Person SpecificationKnowledge and QualificationsEssential- Degree level qualification in business administration or similar or equivalent knowledge and experience.
