In short: Project Manager from an Operational Technology background required to join a mid-flight project in delivering an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) upgrade. We're making upgrades to circa 30 gas operational sites and so OT experience is essential.

The Project Manager is responsible for managing, leading, controlling, and supporting the project team toward a successful project outcome (one that achieves the stated benefits for the project) within the appropriate time, cost and quality criteria.
Adhering to all Gas Transmission Cyber standards and procedures as determined by the Steering Committee and Programme Board, the Project Manager delivers the agreed project/s from initiation to completion.
To manage with pace outstanding technical issues arising from previous version of this project and lead on the transition into operations.
To work with operational colleagues to close out fixes and handover.
Liaise with third party support providers to ensure transition to BAU maintenance.
Responsibilities:
Maintaining documentation as required to ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulatory requirements.
Work with IT and Security as required to deliver all relevant IT components and ensure any IT relevant processes are adhered to.
Ensure the Project team are integrated and fully understand the Delivery Process within the Cyber Programme.
Work with the Programme Management Team to develop and agree the overall direction and integrity of the project.
Provide effective leadership to the project team, ensuring that team members are supported, motivated and developing their skills and experience.
Ensure all stakeholders including client, business management, users, staff, operational and engineers, IT, Security (as required) fully understand the objectives and scope of the project and are clear in their expectations of the project.
Effectively estimate and monitor project tasks, costs, time scales, resource requirements and finances for the successful completion of the project. Appropriate intervention and management where these deviate from agreed tolerances complying with governance, business sanctioning authorities and finance procedures as required.
Management of effective change control procedures ensuring formal approval for any changes to the approved scope and documentation.
Manage the production of the required deliverables of the project and ensure an appropriate review process is in place and approvals are obtained.
Prepare and maintain project, stage, exception and quality plans and track activities against these plans. Provide regular and accurate reports to the Programme Board as required.
Identify, assess and manage the risks, assumptions, issues and decisions (RAID) to the success of the project, including developing effective mitigation where required.
Ensure the project is formally closed and documented. Lessons learnt are captured and the project's status and reports are updated.
Experience required:
A good extensive knowledge of Cyber, the Business, Operations, Engineering and IT drivers for the project.
Experience of delivering projects in an Operational Technology environment would be nice-to-have.
Experience in the utilities sector with infrastructure exposure.
Experience in management of third parties and support agreements.
Desirable - Experience of Cyber network protection systems and monitoring, Intrusion Detection systems etc.
Has proven leadership, stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
A good track record of delivering complex projects.
