Oakleaf Partnership are working with a client who is a leading name in the housing industry. They are currently seeking support from an experienced Organisational Development Partner who will play a crucial role in shaping their organisational culture and driving performance across the business. This role is a 12-month contract to cover maternity leave within the team. It is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation with ambitious plans for growth and innovation. The role is based in Sale, Manchester, with travel required to various sites.

What is the role?

As an OD Partner, you will report to the OD Manager and partner with business leaders and HR teams to design, develop, and implement strategic learning solutions and OD initiatives. Your work will directly contribute to the development of a high-performing and engaged workforce, aligning with the organisation's strategic objectives. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to deliver targeted interventions, manage organisational programmes, and provide expert coaching to leaders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with business leaders and HR Business Partners to drive performance improvement and change management strategies.
  • Conducting learning needs analysis to identify skills and behavioural gaps and developing appropriate interventions.
  • Designing, developing, and procuring blended learning solutions, including digital learning with a focus on Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) principles.
  • Managing organisational programmes and evaluating their impact against corporate targets.
  • Facilitating workshops, training sessions, and team development activities.
  • Coaching business leaders to enhance their people management capabilities.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest OD theories and practices to continuously improve our approach.
  • Championing collaboration and a continuous improvement mindset across the organisation.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key external stakeholders and representing the organisation at external events.

Candidate profile/experience

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar OD or HR role, with experience in designing and implementing large-scale OD projects. Strong consultancy and relationship management skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively with HR professionals and business stakeholders. You should have excellent facilitation skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a commitment to continuous professional development. A Level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable, as is experience in coaching or psychometric testing (Insights).
