London Northwest University Healthcare Trust has undertaken a review of its Organisational Development and Learning Service and is now seeking three Organisational Development (OD) Partners with significant expertise and experience of supporting organisational development, learning, and management and leadership development to implement change and deliver performance improvements and results.

Main duties of the job

The OD Partner will be responsible for a portfolio of corporate OD, learning, training and development projects and programmes. They will also work with divisional senior management teams to facilitate service change, improvement and transformation to ensure employee engagement and alignment with Trust strategic objectives.

The purpose of the role is to provide a proactive OD and learning service, from the design of diagnostic tools, identifying development needs and skills gaps, to the design and delivery of OD & learning interventions and programmes. Also, the evaluation of the impact of the interventions in meeting and supporting change and transformation to meet divisional and strategic objectives and to improve patient care.

In line with the Trust People Strategy and OD Plan and working closely with senior leaders and staff, the post holder will lead on all aspects of work associated with the modernisation, engagement, and motivation of the workforce. They will develop, lead and evaluate organisational development interventions using a range of OD approaches in areas such as staff engagement, equality and diversity, Leadership and management development, team working, reward and recognition and other OD initiatives.

Person Specification

Education/Qualifications

  • Chartered CIPD Member (MCIPD)
  • Master's Degree or equivalent experience - Relevant area i.e. HRM, OD, change management
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Organisational Development qualification (or relevant experience)
  • Adult training or education qualification - PTLLS, AET Improvement methodology or working towards qualification
  • Project or Programme Management
  • Psychometric test user (BCP/BPS), MBTI or similar tool
  • Digital content developer
  • Coaching and mentoring

Knowledge and Skills

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of undertaking OD, learning and leadership development needs assessment and designing, developing, and implementing OD and learning programmes and initiatives.
  • Solid experience of designing and using a broad range of diagnostic OD and learning assessment tools and approaches to manage culture change and transformation and improve performance.
  • Significant experience of working in an OD and learning and development environment and designing and delivering a variety of programmes.
  • Able to demonstrate business acumen and an understanding of how high impact HR and OD can positively impact on the patient experience, quality and efficiency agenda and organisational goals.
  • Knowledge of the principles and theories of adult learning, organisational development, change management, engagement, teamwork and leadership.
  • Experience of increasing productivity and continuously improve methods and approaches.
  • Experience of devising a variety of training and development programmes specifically to promote staff and team development.
  • Experience of People Management and leadership.
  • Broad understanding of the OD and L&D agenda within LNWHT.
