Migdale Transport Ltd, a leader in the transportation of live fish, is seeking a versatile and dedicated Ordinary Seamen/Cook for our new vessel.

As part of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and smooth operation of our vessel while contributing to our reputation for excellence. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare meals and manage galley operations.
  • Control victuals and commodities, reporting requirements to the Master.
  • Monitor hygiene standards in the galley, mess room, and food stores, reporting deficiencies to the Chief Officer.
  • Implement the Company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and adhere to safe working practices.
  • Perform maintenance, greasing, and cleaning tasks on deck and in accommodation areas.
  • Operate cranes (if qualified or supervised).
  • Assist with mooring operations under the direction of senior officers.
  • Carry out navigational watches as a lookout or helmsman (if certified).
  • Undertake security duties as instructed by the Ship Security Officer (SSO).
  • Carry out additional tasks, within your capabilities, to support the vessel’s safe operation.

Requirements:

  • Valid STCW certificates.
  • Current ENG1 medical certificate.
  • Experience in meal preparation and galley operations.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail, especially in safety and hygiene.
  • A commitment to maintaining high safety standards and attention to detail, particularly when handling live cargo.
  • Experience in similar roles or familiarity with live fish transport is advantageous but not essential.
