About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Oracle & SQL Database Administrator with strong Azure expertise and a background in the Social Care sector. You will be responsible for managing and optimising database environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security for critical applications supporting social care services.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain Oracle and SQL Server databases in Azure environments
Ensure database performance, integrity, and security
Support migrations, backups, and disaster recovery strategies
Work closely with Social Care teams to understand domain-specific requirements
Optimise database solutions for efficiency and scalability
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) with Oracle & SQL
Strong knowledge of Azure Database Services
Experience in the Social Care sector or similar regulated environments
Experience in the Social Care systems is required
Expertise in performance tuning, backup strategies, and security best practices
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
