Senior API Management Platform Administrator

We are looking for a Senior API Management platform administrator with hands-on experience in defining, developing, and providing operational support services such as monitoring, health and hygiene, and overall availability of the API product. The API platform includes API Gateway, API portal, and the API Core utility services. Knowledge of design and build-out of tooling and processes to support CI/CD for applications running on the OpenShift platform (build, test, QA, security, deployment) is also required.

A successful individual will work on the ongoing functional support and improvement of our current infrastructure. Knowledge of API management is highly relevant for the role, as well as experience with IT Java applications on JBoss, WebLogic, and WebSphere.

Technical Expertise:

1. The operational support for both production and lower environments for business-critical applications.
2. Able to build, test, and administer several highly available RedHat OpenShift Container Platform clusters.
3. In-depth knowledge and experience of installing, configuring, and operating OpenShift on Linux environments.
4. Extensive knowledge of Linux Containers (Docker), Kubernetes, and deployment of containerized applications/microservices architectures.
5. Working knowledge using Ansible.
6. Provide support for tracing and help with triage for applications running on OpenShift.
7. Experience with NGINX, Apache.
8. Development/implementation of application platform automation solutions based around containers and container orchestration.
9. Design and build out of tooling and processes to support CI/CD for applications running on the OpenShift platform (build, test, QA, security, deployment).
10. Write scripts to automate and integrate projects within OpenShift, and automate existing manual flows (Ansible, Shell, etc.).
11. In-depth knowledge of JSON, JWT, and JWKS and their underlying specifications.
12. Integration knowledge on API Gateway with Oracle Identity Management Suite.
13. Participate in requirements gathering for new enhancements and developments utilizing OpenShift while conforming to established platform architecture standards and principles.
14. Provide input into technology plans & update solution designs/technical roadmaps.
15. Knowledge of new security solutions like OAuth, CORS, etc.
16. Experience with managing web tiers on cloud-based infrastructures (Oracle Cloud, Azure, AWS).
17. Experience with SSL and integration with Oracle IDM Suite (OIM, OAM, OID).
18. Familiarity with other web application server technologies such as Oracle WebLogic Server (FWM), IBM WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, etc.
19. Knowledge and experience of DevOps and using products like JIRA, GITHUB.
20. Experience of building & deploy using Continuous Integration Frameworks.
21. Good knowledge of Linux Operating Systems.
22. Previous experience in Production support and supporting development teams.
23. Good communication skills, written & verbal.
24. Good problem-solving skills.
25. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

1. Supporting a 24-hour and 7-day a week production environment with SLA's.
2. Manage and resolve issues related to application servers and IT applications.
3. Lifecycle management including automation and maintenance.
4. Meeting the infrastructure requirements of new projects and overseeing their progress to business as usual applications.
5. Install/configure/manage/monitor Container Platform clusters.
6. Troubleshooting Container Platform clusters.
7. Using DevOps processes and tools to provide smooth transactions for both builds and the application lifecycle process.
