My leading and rapidly growing MSP client is seeking an experience Oracle Database Engineer to join their Data Ops technical team and provide Oracle Delivery and Support.
This is a customer facing role, mainly focusing on support, requiring hands-on, in-depth technical skills and excellent communication skills. You will be forward thinking, familiar with service architectures, customer focused and self-motivated with the requisite drive to improve database services and the overall user experience.
The role:
To provide exceptional quality database delivery and support services
Interacting at all levels with Customers and strategic key stakeholders
Providing 3rd line database support and strategic consultancy
Explaining technical concepts and the underlying principles to solutions during customer engagements
Out-of-hours delivery and support - Via an on call rota for which there is an on call allowance
Producing a high standard of documentation, handovers and mentoring of both customer and internal resources as required.
Candidates must have the following skills / experience:
The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Demonstrable professional experience with Oracle specialism technologies, including evidenced delivery and production support experience
Multiple version and edition capability with Oracle
Strong analytical ability to support complex problem solving
A passion to learn and develop skills with new and existing database technologies
