Job Title: Operations Assistant

Location: Weston Super Mare

Employment Type: Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 2 shift pattern working between the hours of (Apply online only)

Salary: £28,000-£35,000 dependent on experience

MDE Group UK LTD are recruiting for an Operations Supervisor for our client based in Weston Super Mare.

This role is perfectly trainable for someone with the right attitude to the role below.

Job Description:

Working alongside the operations manager your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Proficiently utilising computer applications, including transport management software and Google Workspace (particularly Google Sheets).
  2. Communicating effectively with internal departments, customers, and external partners via telephone, email, and in person.
  3. Maintaining accurate records across a number of systems including driver hours, mileage, telematics data, DBS checks for staff.
  4. Providing crucial support to the Operations Manager in day-to-day transport operations.
  5. Managing the early stages of incident/accident investigations, to determine fault and facilitate the next stages of investigation.
  6. Supervising the cleaning team of 6, including managing their working hours.
  7. General admin duties.
Requirements:
  1. Strong knowledge of Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets.
  2. Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  3. Excellent attention to detail and confidentiality.
  4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a proactive, 'can-do' attitude.
  5. Valid UK Driving licence.
  6. Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Weston-super-Mare.
  7. Good geographical knowledge.
  8. Previous experience in transport operations preferred.

Monday-Friday work schedule with on-call responsibilities (on average, 1 in 4 weekends and 1 week night per week. Further details will be provided during the interview process).
