Operations Supervisor

As Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for key supervision of multi-sites based in a cluster location - Bexhill, Tunbridge Wells, and Newhaven.

Interpersonnel UK Ltd is recruiting for the position of Operations Supervisor for Brett Concrete Ltd. Working with an industry-leading brand, the Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in bridging the gap in the supervision of onsite staff, day-to-day running of the sites, and reporting back to senior management.

If you are experienced in ensuring SHEQ standards, monitoring staff and operating performance levels, mechanical machinery maintenance, and budget/costs management, then this could be the role for you.

What the role involves:
  1. You will be responsible for ensuring safety, health, environmental, sustainability, and quality standards are maintained to requirements.
  2. Manage performance and the development of your team.
  3. Optimise all operational costs and effectively manage the budgets.
  4. Control and manage plant repair and maintenance.
  5. Ensure compliance with legislation, maintain plant administration, and manage service schedules.
  6. Communicate all plant defects, transport issues, and personnel issues to line management.
What the role requires:
  1. People management skills are essential, along with well-developed communication, planning, and organisational skills.
  2. Ideally, experience with ready mix concrete/similar product.
  3. Previous proven supervisory experience across multi-sites.
  4. Demonstrate awareness of Safety, Health, Environment, and Sustainability issues and a sound knowledge of Operational procedures.
  5. Knowledge of mechanical equipment.
