About the role:

Both behind the scenes within the warehouses and across the front end of the customer experience, which means we now have an opportunity for a Planning Manager - Sales & Capacity Operations Planning to join the team.

As the Planning Manager - Sales & Capacity Operations Planning, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day planning, forecasting, and optimisation of sales and delivery capacity across our logistics network. You will ensure that our capacity planning strategies align with customer demand, operational efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will drive continuous improvement in planning processes, enhance forecasting accuracy, and support strategic decision-making to enable smooth operations and a seamless customer experience.

You will be - Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of planners to deliver effective sales and capacity plans that align with business needs.
  • Use data analytics and forecasting tools to predict sales volumes and plan van routes efficiently.
  • Optimise delivery capacity and resource allocation to improve operational performance and reduce costs.
  • Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks such as demand fluctuations, weather disruptions, or unforeseen operational challenges.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including supply chain, operations, and commercial teams, to ensure alignment of planning strategies.
  • Continuously improve planning methodologies, leveraging technology and automation where possible.

About you - Requirements to be considered:

  • Experience in capacity planning, forecasting, or operations planning within logistics, retail, or a related industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to drive decision-making.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Proficiency in forecasting tools, planning software, and data analytics platforms.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
