Operations & Marketing Assistant - Growing Greenhouse Business

Greenhouse and Polytunnels is a thriving business specializing in the design, manufacture, and installation of high-quality greenhouses and polytunnels. We're experiencing rapid growth and are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-growing business from its early stages, reporting directly to the owner.

About the Role :

This role (with potential to become full-time) offers an exciting opportunity to learn valuable skills. As an Operations Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including :

Answering customer inquiries via phone and email, providing excellent customer service.
Assisting with the packing and assembly of greenhouse kits in our Thomastown warehouse.
Managing warehouse inventory and stock levels.
Supervising a small team of assembly staff.
Assisting with on-site greenhouse installations (full training provided). This may involve occasional travel within regional Victoria.
Marketing Support: Contribute to marketing activities, which may include social media management, content creation, email marketing, market research, and event planning. This will utilize your marketing experience to help grow our brand and customer base.

Skills & Experience :

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Basic marketing knowledge is a plus.
Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is a plus, but not essential.
Willingness to learn new skills and take initiative.
Physical fitness and ability to lift moderately heavy objects.
A valid driver’s license is preferred (manual car).
