Role Summary

As Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day delivery of our services across Private Security, Corporate Security, and Intelligence. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will ensure that operations run smoothly, clients are well served, and our delivery teams are supported, equipped, and held to the highest standards.

Following a successful 6-month probation, the candidate will transition into the role of Head of Delivery, assuming full ownership of operational execution and oversight across all service lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and oversee delivery of Marengo’s services across Corporate Security, Private Security, and Intelligence portfolios.
• Serve as the operational point of contact for key clients, ensuring expectations are consistently exceeded.
• Manage, deploy, and support personnel including close protection officers, residential security teams, and intelligence contributors.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures and service delivery standards aligned with the company’s values and brand.
• Conduct internal audits and continuous reviews of delivery to ensure quality, compliance, and improvement.
• Assist in scoping, planning, and executing bespoke client assignments, including high-risk and complex operations.
• Oversee the coordination of logistics, resourcing, and planning for active and future projects.
• Lead incident and crisis response as needed.
• Provide strategic and operational input to the Managing Director and support in scaling operations.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• The successful candidate will be ambitious, a self-starter and comfortable with a wide remit, that they will make their own.
• Proven operational leadership experience in the security, intelligence, or risk sector.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate complex projects and personnel.
• Background in military, police, intelligence services, or a corporate security/intelligence environment.
• Competence in threat, vulnerability and risk assessment.
• Strong client-facing skills, with an ability to engage at senior levels.
• Organised, proactive, and calm under pressure.
• Discretion and trustworthiness are paramount.
• Excellent communication skills: oral and written English.

Desirable:

• Experience in managing global operations and multi-jurisdictional teams.
• Understanding of private client services and the high-net-worth environment.
• Knowledge of compliance, risk management, and duty of care responsibilities.
• Familiarity with intelligence collection and analysis methods.
• Sector qualifications e.g. CSMP.
