Operations Manager/Deputy Practice Manager

New Road Surgery are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our friendly team as an Operations Manager/Deputy Practice Manager with a view to becoming a Business/Practice Manager.

This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to progress their career in Primary Care management by gaining experience in an excellent practice and supportive environment.

Full training will be provided working with our current Practice Manager and Partners.

Main duties of the job

To support the Practice Manager in all aspects of practice functionality, motivating and managing staff, optimising efficiency and overall performance, ensuring the practice achieves its long-term strategic objectives in a safe and effective working environment.

To manage and coordinate all aspects of practice functionality, motivating and managing staff, patient services, premises and health and safety management.

Through innovative ways of working, support the Practice Manager leading the team in promoting quality and continuous improvement, confidentiality, collaborative working, service delivery, learning and development and ensuring the practice complies with CQC regulations.

About us

New Road Surgery is a friendly, patient-centred, training practice led by four doctors in partnership serving over 14,000 patients in Croxley Green, Sarratt and the surrounding area.

Job responsibilities

The role includes ensuring efficient day-to-day operations across the three practice sites, staff and rota management and will also include other areas of practice management depending on experience.

  • The successful candidate should have leadership skills and ideally a background in primary healthcare, HR, business or financial management. Full training will be provided working with our current Practice Manager and Partners.
