Reimagine Redditch programmes and delivers creative projects with communities. We co-create with Redditch residents, especially those people who do not regularly take part in culture. We are recruiting an Operations Manager to join our team and play an integral role in the development of Reimagine Redditch. The role is currently a fixed-term position until 31st March 2026 but will be extended to March 2029, subject to funding.
The Operations Manager is a new post that we have created to help streamline operations for the team. This role would suit a professional administrator or manager who is excited by the transformational power of the arts and its capacity to foster change. Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, office based at Canon Newton House, Redditch, mobile across the Borough, plus remote working.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Operations Manager
Reporting to: Reimagine Redditch Programme Director
Main purpose of the role:
The Operations Manager will play a key role in the smooth, operational running of our community-led creative programmes. You will manage budgets, support income generation, coordinate monitoring and evaluation of the programme, and manage the office, while liaising with artists, vendors, and stakeholders to help facilitate collaborations and partnerships.
Main responsibilities:
- Run the day-to-day operations of the programme.
- Act as an important point of contact for external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
- Manage budgets and keep accurate financial records for the programme.
- Work with the Programme Director to maximise income generation.
- Monitor data collection processes and produce progress reports to Arts Council England and other funders.
- Work with and support the evaluator to gather and process project data.
Main tasks:
Financial Management:
- Responsible for day-to-day financial management.
- Manage project finances & cashflow with other team members.
- Issue contracts, invoices & make payments, ensuring timely payments and support financial reporting and grant compliance.
- Ensure quarterly management accounts are submitted to the Consortium and funders.
- Identify fundraising opportunities and develop dynamic fundraising approaches.
- Contribute to and lead on the production of funding bids as agreed.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Coordinate monitoring and evaluation for the programme.
- Work alongside the External Evaluator and coordinate evaluation meetings with the delivery team and Consortium members.
- Collate qualitative and quantitative data and generate and submit quarterly evaluation reports to Arts Council England and other funders to meet deadlines.
Office Management:
- Produce agendas for, and lead, relevant meetings.
- Manage the programme’s databases.
- Lead on maintaining insurance and risk registers and ensure GDPR, Health & Safety and Safeguarding compliance.
- Manage relevant volunteers and temporary, junior or project admin staff, as funding allows.
- Manage and improve systems to maximise performance and streamline working.
- Support the delivery team with project logistics.
- Identify and resolve operational risks to maintain efficiency and smooth operations.
- Plus other tasks commensurate with the role.
Stakeholder Management:
- Manage stakeholder relationships alongside the Programme Director, including with Consortium members, project partners, and volunteers.
- Work with the host organisation to ensure joined up and smooth running of financial processes.
Responsibilities shared across the team:
- Promote the programme’s work and values – with a particular focus on communities, creativity and Redditch.
- Commit to working in the office at least two days per week.
- Attend and contribute to meetings, planning and strategy, being a key part of how we collectively plan and make decisions.
- Keep up to date with what is going on in relevant sectors in Redditch, regionally and nationally.
- Attend relevant networking & training events locally, regionally or nationally.
- Contribute to relevant sector networking opportunities and represent Reimagine Redditch in different formats and advocate for the work we do.
- Help maximise earned income streams to feed back into supporting the work of the programme.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships and projects.
