Based at EMR Mitcham this opportunity awaits for a General Manager to support our team.

The metal recycling industry may not look all that glamorous from the outside, but when you’re within, the innovation, processes and technology are truly fascinating.

What You Will Be Doing

Your career with EMR will start by initially managing employees across the operation. Giving you plenty of opportunities to learn from different levels of experience within the business.

You will be leading our well-established operational teams, taking operational responsibility for all of the depot. Your management experience in industry related settings means you will be exceeding targets, continuously improving our operation, and getting the most out of our colleagues and technology.

Your passion for customer service is second to none, ensuring that our customers are at the heart of our operation.

Your interest and experience in continuous improvement methodologies from your industry will give you the desire to adapt your practices at EMR, never-ending to strive for perfection in everything you do.

You'll initially look after your chosen site, but as EMR pushes to achieve our 'net zero' emissions by 2040 strategy. You too will also be pushed to grow your career within EMR.

About You

If you’re wondering if you need industry knowledge or experience, the answer is no.

You will be leading our well-established operational teams, taking operational responsibility for all of the depot.

Your management experience in industry related settings means you will be exceeding targets, continuously improving our operation, and getting the most out of our colleagues and technology.

You have a strong track record of achievement in Operational & Commercial Management within your industry.
