Job description

We are recruiting a well-organised, conscientious and proactive individual to join our small team. This role is for three days a week; however, potential job share opportunities are available.

Salary: £31,330 pro rata, negotiable based on experience and funding permitting
Hours: Permanent role for 22.5 hours a week (3 month probation)

The Operations and Finance Manager is a key operational role within the organisation and involves both strategic and financial duties. We expect the successful candidate to spend a proportionate amount of time on both operations and finance, which may vary throughout the year depending on work commitments.

As a charity, we are regulated by OSCR, and ideally, the successful candidate will have knowledge of or experience working for a third sector organisation.

Reachout with Arts in Mind provides services for members who are at various stages of managing their wellbeing. The position will involve interaction with members on a regular basis, and as we are a small staff team, the list of duties is not exhaustive. The role will involve supporting the Executive Artistic Director in completing funding applications.

Essential Experience

  1. Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel
  2. Qualification to college/university level
  3. Mental health and wellbeing training

Desirable Experience

  1. Companies House returns
  2. Preparing Annual Accounts
  3. OSCR returns
  4. Knowledge of the arts and its use in wellbeing therapies
  5. Experience of using Sage Accounting
  6. Preparing financial summaries for Board of Directors
  7. Experience of HR and employment legislation
