The Operations Engineer will play a meaningful part in supporting the day-to-day operations of the DevOps team. You will possess a good foundational level of DevOps skills and best practices. You will continue to grow through experience and training to progress to the next level. You will partner with more experienced team members to learn the tools and procedures and increase your troubleshooting skills.

What You'll Do

1. Learn the automation and orchestration tools that allow us to operate at scale, including building and running our infrastructure and product code bases.
2. Learn how the existing service offerings are built and configured.
3. Gain the knowledge to resolve basic operation issues.
4. Learn the monitoring systems, runbooks, alerts, and essential tools for day-to-day operations.
5. Contribute heavily to the unplanned work requests that come into the team.
6. Assist on-call rota and/or on-call during working hours.

What You'll Bring

1. Starting to learn or willing to learn about HA Solutions and cloud service provider’s foundational services.
2. Learning orchestration and automation tools. (Ansible, Terraform, etc...). Agile Concepts and SCRUM as well as Scripting and systems-related programming skills. (Ansible, Python, Bash).
3. Basic experience with relational databases.
4. Working understanding of security best practices.
5. Good understanding of Linux or Windows system administration.
6. Developing sound technical troubleshooting skills.
7. CS or Engineering Majors with zero to one year of experience.
