Job description

Operations Assistant
Bournemouth
GBP25,000 - GBP28,000 + Training + Benefits

This is a great opportunity to join a well-established but growing local company within the manufacturing industry.

The Role:

  1. Work within the Operations Team conducting and supporting the wider team with tasks such as purchasing, booking in goods, labelling, stickering, kitting, assembly, and general warehouse duties.
  2. 50/50 between being office-based and factory/warehouse based.
  3. Purchasing of raw material to specification.
  4. Purchasing of consumables and factory ad hoc items when required.
  5. Booking goods in on the ERP / MRP system, and responsible for the accurate data input.
  6. Responsible for labelling of products and storage control of finished goods within the warehouse.
  7. Loading vehicles safely by forklift truck.
  8. Placing orders for sub-contract activities.

The Candidate:
  1. Experience in using an ERP / MRP system is desirable.
  2. Experience in goods inward or material inspection would be highly advantageous.
  3. Experience in purchasing within a production setting would be highly advantageous.
  4. Experience operating a counter-balance forklift truck is essential. Forklift certification would be highly advantageous.
