Job Description

Due to continued growth, we are now seeking an Operations Accountant to join our Finance team at our Appleton Thorn site.

Due to the location of our site, you will need to drive to get to and from work.

As Operations Accountant, you will be responsible for the production and integrity of internal and external management reporting, ensuring they remain relevant and in line with industry best practice.

This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 8.30 to 5.30 (1-hour lunch) offering a competitive salary and package with the opportunity to work for a forward-thinking market leader.

Job responsibilities of Operations Accountant include:

1. Oversee production of the weekly contract management reporting including presentation of the results with explanation on variances to plan to GM, Operational Director, and Operational Team.
2. Oversee production of the weekly client management reporting including presentation of the results with explanation on variances to plan to client management.
3. Oversee month-end close and production of the Sectors monthly reporting pack for ESL Group both P&L and Balance Sheet.
4. Oversee month-end close and production of the clients' monthly reporting packs.
5. Quarterly forecast process, presentation of results to Operations Director and ESL FD.
6. All aspects of the annual budget process ensuring that results are delivered to the timetable set by Culina Group.
7. Production of clients' Budget and Forecasts to be produced in line with timetables as issued by the clients.
8. Financial business partner to the Operations Director supporting them in all financial aspects of their business.
9. Management of financial risk including sign off of contracted new business streams and support of aged debt recovery.
10. Development of the financial reporting suite to ensure that it meets the business requirements and represents industry best practice.
11. Head up financial projects specific to the Sector.

Qualifications

To apply for the role of Operations Accountant, you will possess the following skills, experiences, and qualifications:

1. CIMA, ACA or ACCA part qualified or looking to start; QBE considered.
2. 2+ years in working in a similar position.
3. Involvement in commercial pricing exercises.
4. Experience of working with senior stakeholders.
5. Advanced Microsoft user, especially Excel.
